A profusely carved solid oak Victorian bookcase of outstanding quality.
C1890.
A superb example of this type of furniture, which was very popular in the latter part of the 19th century, particularly the "Green Man" carved motif, which features in the middle of the solid oak constructed drawer, at the top of the bookcase.
Featuring fruits, leaves, scrolls, and lions heads flanking the drawer at the top.

The bookcase has three shelves, including the bottom.
In excellent antique condition, some minor marks to the top, shown in the pictures.
Very solid sturdy and strong.
Cleaned and waxed in our workshop.
