Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Tea caddy spoons became popular during the Georgian era as loose tea was expensive and stored in locked caddies, requiring small scoops for precise measurement.

These pieces were typically crafted from sterling silver using techniques such as stamping, casting, and hand-chasing to create detailed fluted or shell bowls.

Authentic items feature clear hallmarks stamped into the metal, indicating the makers mark, standard mark, assay office, and date letter corresponding to the period.

Small antique silver items can be displayed inside glass cabinets, arranged on decorative trays, or used functionally on coffee tables and sideboards to add historic character.

Maintain antique silver by storing it in tarnish-resistant cloths, cleaning infrequently with a non-abrasive silver polish, and avoiding harsh chemical dips that damage historical patination.
