Archival Detail
Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco jewellery, prominent from the 1920s to the 1930s, is characterised by bold geometric shapes, clean lines, symmetrical patterns, and intricate filigree detail. It reflected the modern architectural movements of the era, moving away from the organic curves of Art Nouveau.

Art Deco bracelets frequently feature precious metals such as platinum, white gold, and yellow gold, often combined with diamonds and coloured gemstones. Artisans employed die-striking, hand-engraving, milgrain edging, and delicate openwork filigree to craft structural yet light pieces.

Authentic pieces from the 1920s typically display precise geometric openwork, milgrain detailing around gem borders, and early diamond cuts like Old European or single cuts. They often bear period-appropriate hallmark stamps indicating metal purity and makers marks.

A geometric filigree bracelet serves as a refined statement piece when paired with minimal eveningwear or tailored modern suiting. Stacking it alongside a clean-lined metal cuff or wearing it solo on a bare wrist highlights its detailed craftsmanship without visual clutter.

Clean delicate filigree jewellery using lukewarm water, mild dish soap, and a soft-bristled brush to remove dust from intricate crevices. Store the piece flat in a soft-lined container to prevent thin openwork links from bending or snagging on other items.
