Stunning Dutch Marquetry Inlaid Bookcase

An attractive early 19th.C. Dutch mahogany and marquetry inlaid bookcase or cabinet. The concave top above a conforming oak lined drawer over two panelled and glazed doors, the interior having 3 adjustable shelves and working lock with key. The spectacular floral marquetry complimented with vases of flowers, birds in flight and birds of prey to the sides. The circular columns show the craftsman’s skill as it very difficult to create inlay on round surfaces, the columns are supported on decorative brass capitols joining the square tapered feet.The whole in very good original condition, cleaned and waxed in our own workshops.
