Mid 19th Century Swedish Hand Painted Strong Box

Description

Mid 19th century swedish hand painted strong box / chest circa 1850.

Good quality example of a scandinavian strong box, which offers many use's around the home today, such as storage or being used as a side table.

Traces of original black paintwork, iron strap work held in place by hand made studs.  original hinges and carrying handles, original lock but no key.  interior is unpainted and is partially fitted with a candle box with lift up lid.

Expected surface marks, bumps and grazes, rusting to metalwork, but strong condition and ready for everyday use.
