A beautifully proportioned and large example of a Victorian carved walnut stool. The walnut frame is finely shaped with carved floral motifs to the apron and elegant cabriole legs terminating in scrolled toes. The timber has developed a rich, warm patina, enhancing both the crispness of the carving and the graceful flowing outline.
Upholstered in a soft sage-green fabric finished with decorative braid trim, the stool is both comfortable and highly decorative. Solid, well made and generous in scale, it offers excellent versatility for use in a bedroom, dressing area, hallway or drawing room.
