An early 20th-century English solid silver capstan-shaped desk inkwell, featuring a unique integrated clock in the hinged lid. Lid is monographed with Letter M.
 
Design: The inkwell is of classic circular, capstan form with a molded base and a hinged cover.
 
Clock: The hinged cover is set with a 8 day clock , featuring a white dial, Roman numeral markers, and a subsidiary seconds dial.
 
Hallmarks: Maker mark rubbed out. Birmingham 1934 .
