Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

In 18th-century homes, small silver salvers or card trays were used by servants to deliver visiting cards, letters, or beverages to residents and guests without direct hand contact.

Georgian silver salvers were typically hammered or cast from sterling silver, featuring hand-engraved armorial crests, molded piecrust rims, and individually cast feet soldered to the base.

Authenticity is determined by British hallmarks, which include a makers mark, town mark, silver standard mark, and date letter stamped into the underside or rim of the piece.

A small silver salver can be placed on a sideboard, desk, or bedside table to hold small items such as keys, jewellery, or desk accessories, adding a metallic texture to contemporary spaces.

Antique silver should be cleaned using a soft cotton cloth and specialized, non-abrasive silver polish to prevent scratching the surface or removing subtle details of engraved crests.
