A George III mahogany tantalus box with original cut crystal rum and brandy decanter in excellent original condition c.1820. The figured mahogany box with decorative ebonised moulding forming a panelled effect to the exterior of all four sides and lid. Brass lion mask handles with ring drops to each side. The lid opening with working lock and key to reveal an original fitted and green baize lined two section interior, which holds the decanters in place. Each original cut crystal decanter with faceted top and lined cut decoration, one decanter marked B for Brandy and the other R for Rum; matching stoppers to both. Presented in excellent original unrestored condition with perfect crystal ware. Keep up to date via Instagram - sturmansantiques. Box measures 8.5'' wide x 4.75'' deep x 10.5'' high.
