A superb French silver fish knife by Henin & Cie, Paris, late 19th to early 20th century. Executed in .950 fine silver, this elegant piece is richly decorated with finely engraved scrolling foliage and floral motifs across the shaped blade. The shell terminal is beautifully cast and crisply detailed, enhancing the sculptural quality of the handle. Stamped with the French Minerva mark (1st standard) and the maker’s mark for Henin & Cie, one of the leading Parisian silversmiths of the period.
