18th Century Welsh Oak Deuddarn

A Welsh oak two-part storage cupboard (''deuddarn'') circa late 1700s.
 
The top half consists of three cupboard doors, all beautifully panelled with the middle cuboard bearing pigeon holes and drawers within.
 
On the inside of the middle door there is a collection of old recipes used by the previous owner(s) - pickles, cocktails etc - a wonderful element of social history.
 
The lower part features two large and one small drawer, along with two cupboards. A good solid floor and a shelf sits inside each cupboard.
 
The panelling configuration on the whole piece is really interesting and well balanced. In superb condition, and incredibly well made.
