A double gimmel flask is a type of joined, twin-necked vessel traditionally manufactured as a token of affection or a fairground novelty in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Nailsea glass is typically hand-blown using lead or soda glass, often incorporating white or coloured glass trails within clear metal to create looped, combed, or latticino patterns.

Authentic pieces usually exhibit pontil marks on the base, irregular air bubbles, tool marks from hand-working, and characteristic opaque white or pink loopings embedded in the glass body.

Position the flask on a mantelpiece or within a glass-fronted cabinet where natural light can pass through the translucent body to highlight the internal patterning.

Clean gently with a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove dust. Avoid using chemical cleaners, immersion in water, or placing the item in areas exposed to direct, intense sunlight.
