The World is Made of Glass Ltd. has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The flask is in excellent condition for its age.
It has a rough pontil mark on the base.

The flask is rectangular in shape with canted corners measuring 7 cm (2.8 inches) in width, by 5.5 cm (2.2 inches) in depth and 14.5 cm (5.8 inches) in height. The flask is polychrome enameled with displays of flowers to one of the broader sides and with a bird within a cartouche to verso. There are enamelled polychrome leaf fronds and flowers on the narrower sides between flowers and swirls on the corners and a white and blue enamelled band to the top of the flask, which is topped off by a pewter cap at the neck. There are no chips, cracks, or any obvious evidence of restoration to the glass. There is some light rubbing of the enamel at certain points. Unusually it retains its screw-on top to the cap.
It weighs 240 g. (~ 8 1/2 oz.).
