Brass Ship Gimbal Table Lamp

1900 - 1920
Description

An early 20th century brass gimbal lamp. The gimbal is used to keep the light level in respect to the horizon despite the ships pitching and rolling. Can be table or wall mounted. Likely used by the Royal Navy in WWII period.

A food example, with original patination, cleaned and waxed. Fully rewired in period style flex and PAT safety tested.
