The World is Made of Glass Ltd. has dated this piece to the 18th Century.

The glass is in excellent condition for its age. It shows the age related wear and tear to the rim of the foot and the rim of the bowl consistent with 250+ years of use. It has a rough pontil mark on the underside of the foot.

The glass has a rounded bucket-shaped bowl measuring 6.6 cm (2.6 inches) in diameter at the misshapen rim. The bowl is plain and sits on a six-sided pedestal stem and a conical, folded foot which measures 6.2 cm (2.5 inches) in diameter. The glass is 14 cm (5.6 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. The glass shows the early signs of crizzling (glass disease) which the French called the pink disease as the glasses take on a distinct pink hue when the crizzling is advanced.
