J. Shoolbred Low Open Bookcase

19th century
Description

K0631 James Shoolbred, London solid mahogany with faux rosewood finish open bookcase, having original veined white marble top with  moulded edge above a shallow frieze and two height adjustable shelves with carved fronts, all flanked by fluted pilasters, standing on moulded plinth base. This antique bookcase retains its original finish which has been cleaned and waxed, original deep colour and good patina, all in home ready condition. Stamped 1849, bears James Shoolbred, London label, plus two original storage labels. All in home ready condition. This bookcase would make a good bedside table. XIXth century.
