Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This pair of nineteenth-century Qing dynasty table lamps originates from Chinese famille rose porcelain vases mounted on carved dark wooden bases, fitted with brass lamp holders and wired with brown fabric-covered twisted flex. Each vase exhibits polychrome enamel decoration featuring court figurative panels, applied chilong dragons, floral cartouches, and foliage in typical pink, green, and blue tones. The physical dimensions measure 33 cm high, 12 cm wide, and 12 cm deep. These matching light fittings suit placement on a living room sideboard, a grand hallway console, or a traditional bedroom chest of drawers to introduce decorative colour and ambient illumination.

FAQs

Famille Rose refers to Chinese export porcelain decorated with overglaze opaque enamels, predominantly featuring pink or rose tones introduced during the 18th century Qing Dynasty.

These pieces combine hand-moulded kaolin clay porcelain, overglaze vitreous enamels, carved hardwood bases, and brass electrical fittings.

Authentic 19th-century pieces display hand-painted brushwork with minor variations, thick vitreous enamels with slight surface texture, and hand-turned porcelain bodies.

Positioning them as a symmetrical pair on a console table or sideboard adds polychrome detail, classical balance, and warmth to modern living spaces.

Dust the porcelain bodies using a soft microfibre cloth and avoid harsh chemical cleaners that could damage the overglaze enamels or wooden mounts.
