Rare Edwardian Silver & Mother of Pearl Thistle Letter Opener

Description

A rare Edwardian solid silver and mother of pearl letter opener. The handle is naturistically formed as a thistle with finely engraved and chased detail and faceted smoky quartz finial. Mother of pearl blade. Fully hallmarked Birmingham 1903 by Crisford and Norris.

A beautiful desk top accessory, in excellent condition. There is a very minor nick to the mother of pearl blade, only noticeable to one side.
