Late C19th / early C20th Chinese Qing Dynasty carved hardwood ‘huali’ dressing table stool or window seat .

Shaped square-section legs noted by an H-shaped stretcher and high-sided arms with pierced carved lateral bars . Having a panelled seat above a carved and pierced frieze to the front with flowering prunus and vine detail .

A stylish seat of practical scale and proportions in excellent original condition with a rich colour and patina to the well-selected figured timber .
