Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Milking stools were functional, low-seated agricultural items crafted for use in farm dairies. Their three-legged tripod configuration allowed the user to sit securely on uneven stone, dirt, or cobblestone barn floors.

These stools were typically constructed using dense local hardwoods. Sycamore was preferred for seats as it does not taint dairy products or split easily, while resilient woods such as ash or oak were used for turned splayed legs.

Authentic period examples feature hand-turned or hand-shaved splayed legs wedged directly into the thick seat plank, wear to the feet consistent with use on wet floors, and naturally aged surface patination.

A small rustic stool serves as a versatile accent piece. It functions well alongside a fireplace hearth, placed beside a bath, or used as a low riser to display ceramics, plants, or books in modern farmhouse and minimalist spaces.

Keep the wood away from direct heat sources and central heating radiators to prevent shrink cracks. Wipe clean with a dry, lint-free cloth and apply a natural beeswax polish occasionally to preserve the timber and patination.
