Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco ring design from the 1920s and 1930s is characterised by geometric symmetry, millegrain detailing, bold contrast between coloured gemstones and diamonds, and refined metalwork combining white metal settings with yellow gold bands.

Fine jewellery from the 1930s typically paired natural gemstones such as emeralds, sapphires, or rubies with brilliant-cut or single-cut diamonds. Settings frequently utilised platinum or white gold face settings mounted onto 18ct yellow gold shanks to highlight stone colour and brilliance.

Authentic Art Deco emerald rings feature period hand-carved pierced gallery work, intricate millegraining, historic hallmarks, and distinctive gemstone cuts such as sugarloaf, cabochon, or step cuts. Hand-crafted construction techniques and age-appropriate wear also confirm period origin.

An antique emerald dress ring serves as a statement piece that complements both tailored evening wear and minimal everyday tailoring. Wearing it alongside simple unadorned gold bands ensures the central emerald and diamond surround remains the focal point.

Emeralds require careful handling due to natural internal inclusions; clean the setting using lukewarm water, mild detergent, and a soft brush without prolonged soaking. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, steam treatments, harsh chemicals, and sudden temperature shifts.
