Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco dress rings from the 1920s and 1930s are known for geometric symmetry, bold colour contrasts, and meticulous metalwork. They frequently feature central coloured gemstones, such as emeralds or sapphires, bordered by diamonds and millegrain edging set in platinum.

Jewellers during the 1930s predominantly favoured platinum for its strength and neutral tone, allowing white diamonds and coloured gemstones to stand out. Emeralds, rubies, and sapphires were combined with single-cut or brilliant-cut diamonds.

Authentic pieces often feature period hallmarks, hand-applied millegrain texture along metal borders, and specific diamond cuts typical of the era, such as old European or transitional cuts. Platinum settings from this period display precise, fine-gauge metalwork rather than modern cast finishes.

An antique emerald cluster ring acts as a focal statement piece when paired with minimalist contemporary tailoring or plain evening wear. Its geometric halo structure complements both vintage aesthetic choices and modern, clean-lined wardrobes.

Emeralds contain natural internal fissures and should never be cleaned using ultrasonic devices or steam. Wash gently with warm soapy water and a soft brush, and store the piece separately to prevent harder gemstones like diamonds from scratching the emerald.
