Victorian Natural Sapphire And Diamond French Earrings Circa 1890 In A Van Arples Box

Fabulous natural sapphire and diamond antique earrings, set with beautiful vibrant connflower blue sapphires in gold surrounded bu a halo of diamonds with lever backs dating from the late 19th century in a box for Van Arples which appear to be the original box, the earrings are marked L*B in a diamond and have the french gold hallmark. 1.8cms in length. Van Arple was a gem dealer and cutter and retailer and prior to setting up a business with his brother in law in 1906 he had his own business. These earrings we probably retailed by him in this shop in Rue de Bellefond.
