Technical Description
A small Roman glass jar dating from the 2nd to 3rd century AD. Made from translucent aqua blue glass with bubbles of differing sizes throughout. The rim is folded and splayed outward to form a flaring lip and funnel-shaped neck, bulbous blown body with a pontil scar to the slightly pushed-in base.
Date & Origin
Roman, Mid Imperial Empire, 2nd to 3rd century CE.
Condition
Intact. The entire vessel is well-preserved with the exterior exhibiting slightly pitted surface bubbles and minimal residue on parts.
