A Rare Georgian Silver Bucellas Label

A fine and rather rare silver Bucellas wine label from the early 19th Century. This excellent example is of shaped rectangular form with 'Bucellas' engraved to the centre. The label is decorated with a shell and foliar border and supported on a belcher chain. The name Bucellas dates from C1796-1897 and was a district near Lisbon that produced a popular white wine. Hallmarked in 1828, this is an early example making it an interesting and collectable piece. Dimensions below.
