Description

A very sweet small Georgian silver vinaigrette exquisitely modelled in the form of a satchel with very fine hand engraved decoration to all sides, a criss-cross texture to form the leather effect and bright cut engraved detail and hammering for the stitching and edges. Gilt washed inside with a simple pierced grill. These novelty purse type vinaigrettes are usually much larger examples and the intricate work and attention to detail involved on this small example is a real delight.

It measures 2.3cm (7/8") wide by 2cm (3/4") high and 0.6cm (1/4") deep and weighs 7g/0.2ozt.
