Victorian enamelled glass refers to decorative glassware popular during the 19th century, featuring hand-painted coloured glass embellished with opaque enamel and gilding, particularly associated with Bohemian manufacturers such as Moser.

These pieces were crafted from heavy-blown or moulded coloured glass, then hand-decorated using raised enamel pigments and gold leaf application by skilled artisans.

Authentication relies on examining the weight of the glass, the texture and wear of the hand-applied enamel work, pontil marks on the base, and characteristic colour palettes typical of 19th-century European glasshouses.

These small decorative objects can be placed on a dressing table, mantelpiece, or bookshelf to add a touch of historic colour, texture, and refined craftsmanship to a modern space.

Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth or a slightly damp cloth without harsh chemicals, avoiding immersion in water to protect the delicate surface enamel and gilding.
