Carlton Ware powder blue vase decorated with gilt and raised coloured enamels in the Tutankhamen Egyptian pattern, circa 1923
This series given the name Tutankhamun Ware, produced in a very limited numbers to celebrate the discovery by Howard Carter of the Pharaoh''s tomb in 1922.
Fully marked, Carlton Ware swallow, W&R for Wiltshaw & Robinson pottery, Stoke on Trent, Made in England, gilt hieroglyphics pattern mark.
Pearl lustre interior.
In excellent, bright, sound condition with little or no wear to the decoration, noting small insignificant surface firing mark, otherwise no damage or repair.
