Rare 86g Swiss Solid Silver Gilt Bear Serving Spoon C1900 Antique

1900 - 1920
Description

A rare solid sterling silver serving spoon. It is hallmarked with the 800 standard mark along with the makers mark being JF. I would date it to c1900 almost certainly Swiss. It has been superbly designed being gilded with the terminal being cast in the form of a bear, the bowl back has been engraved with flowers. It is in super condition having no dings splits distortions or repairs. It measures approx. 8.75 inches (22.4cm) long by 2 inches (4.8cm) wide and weighs an impressive 86 grams. A very high quality piece.
