Victorian Heavy Weight 18k Gold Signet Ring, Dated 1897
£1,500 $1,900 €1,810
A satisfyingly beefy Victorian signet ring. It''s incredibly rare to find an antique gold ring with these weights at dimensions. The shield shaped face of the ring is unengraved (although the scuffs can be polished out on request) and confirms to a reverse tapering shank with four etched grooves running down the shoulders. Would make a fantastic middle finger ring.
Condition:? The scuffs and hard won patina which are evident in the photos can be polished away if you prefer.
Dated:? 1897.
Size:? S 1/2 (UK) or 9 3/8 (US). Please contact us prior to ordering if you would need this resized.
Measurements:? The ring is 15.6mm at the widest point, narrowing to 5.25mm at the base of the band.
Weight:? 14.76 grams.
Metal:? 18k Gold. Clear hallmarks from the London Assay office, with date marks from 1897.
