Superb Victorian Diamond Set Leaf Design Brooch Tests 18ct Gold

A beautifully crafted Victorian 18ct gold and diamond leaf design brooch. The gold of this simple leaf shape has beautiful warm tones and the surface is finely textured and engraved in a manner that adds a subtle sparkle.  The single round cut diamond set onto the leaf adds a special touch. This Victorian brooch is less ornate than much of the jewellery of this period. 

This stylish brooch displays some of the Arts and Crafts principles of designing from nature with simple yet perfectly executed craftsmanship, and is a style which has proved very wearable in every century.

 

It has been tested and is 18ct gold. 

Condition: In super antique condition. There are some fine lines to the smooth reverse of the brooch, only mentioned for total accuracy but the front is superb.
