Description

Very smart French burr elm veneered cupboard or side cabinet c.1910. Two door cupboard fitted inside with three adjustable shelves (internal depth 15"). Useful large size, ideal as living or bedroom storage or as an office cupboard perhaps. Beautifully figured burr elm veneers across the doors and sides, with inlaid ebony and boxwood stringing, satinwood crossbanding and mahogany surround. Moulded cornice and plinth veneered to match. Gilded ormolu mounts and escutcheons. Raised on turned and tapering legs with brass collars and feet front and rear. Minor repairs to the veneers at the sides of the cornice, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
