Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco glassware from the 1920s and 1930s is characterised by geometric precision, faceted cuts, symmetrical patterns, and a fusion of industrial modernity with luxurious materials.

These pieces are typically crafted from heavy lead crystal, often utilising an overlay technique where a layer of coloured glass is fused over clear crystal before being hand-cut to reveal the contrasting tones beneath.

Authentic pieces often feature acid-etched signatures on the base, precise hand-cut facets with sharp optical clarity, and heavy weight indicative of high lead content typical of the Belgian manufacturer.

Placing the decanter on a sideboard or bar cart allows natural light to interact with the coloured glass, adding a sophisticated focal point that complements both modern and traditional schemes.

Antique crystal should be washed by hand in lukewarm water using mild detergent, avoiding sudden temperature changes to prevent thermal shock, and dried thoroughly with a lint-free cloth.
