A superb late Victorian cut lead crystal glass engraved scent perfume bottle c1880.The multi faceted bottle has 6 protrusions mid body with 3 of them overlaid on the underside in amber colour and all 6 engraved underneath with a typically Victorian posy of flowers. The protrusions circumnavigate the body and are cut so that they undulate around in sweeping scrolls. The base is a sturdy star cut hexagon. The upper body is slice cut upwards through a lower collar, neck and upper collar. The stopper is superbly cut to repeat the 6 protrusions below but in clear glass. In excellent condition, no chips or cracks. This is a wonderful example of its kind.
