Art Deco glassware, prominent during the 1920s and 1930s, is characterised by geometric symmetry, stylised motifs such as nautical scenes, and contrasting metallic accents like silver overlay.

These pieces typically combined blown or moulded clear glass with applied silver-plated metal, enamel, or fired metallic oxides to achieve durable, decorative exterior graphics.

Authentic pieces often exhibit minor surface wear, hand-applied detailing variations, and historical manufacturing characteristics such as pontil marks or period-specific silver purity stamps.

Displaying the piece on a mirrored bar cart, sideboard top, or open shelving brings a touch of historical sophistication and metallic contrast to modern living spaces.

Wash by hand using lukewarm water and mild soap, avoiding harsh abrasives or soaking, to protect the fragile metallic surface and prevent damage to the glass.
