Fine quality George III flame mahogany linen press, attributed to Gillows. Double dentil moulded cornice over a pair of beautifully figured doors with finely carved honeysuckle corner crestings, enclosing an interior fitted with hanging rail. The base with two dummy drawers above a single drawer fitted with brass fret handles. Raised on ogee bracket feet. This piece has been adapted at some stage to allow for extra hanging space: the two dummy drawers form a facia with open drop space behind. Working drawer below.
