A superb quality silver gilt medicine spoon by the famed Parisian silversmith Gustave Keller. This wonderful example is of superior gauge silver and is double ended. The the centre is has twin lugs to stabilise when placed on a flat surface - a most unusual and practical design idea. There is a monogram to the centre and French hallmarks to the top and underside.
Founded in 1856 and working from Rue de Turbigo in Paris, Keller exhibited in both 1867 and 1878 at the Paris World Exhibitions. From 1878 onwards the Company became Keller Brothers. A superb collector''s piece by a sought after Maker. Dimensions below.
