George III Silver Tankard Christening Mug London 1798
£325 $417 €393
A George III silver tankard or mug with clear hallmarks for London 1798 and makers mark for Thomas Wallis II & Jonathan Hayle. The tankard holds a quarter pint of liquid. As well as a tankard, it is a good size for a christening mug gift. The tankard has reeded bands around the body, in the typical style of the Georgian era. It has an elegant and scrolled handle, also typically Georgian. It has a good early date. It is in excellent condition.
