Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Georgian drinking glasses from the 18th century are characterised by lead glass composition, handmade construction techniques, and distinctive stem formations such as knops, air twists, or opaqued twists.

English glassmakers of this period predominantly used lead crystal, which offered a heavier weight, greater clarity, and a resonant ring compared to continental soda glass.

Authentic pieces often exhibit pontil marks on the underside of the folded foot, minor surface wear or inclusions from the period manufacturing process, and characteristic tool marks consistent with hand-blown glass.

Antique stemware can be displayed within illuminated cabinets, styled on open shelving in a dining room, or used functionally for intimate gatherings to add historical texture to contemporary spaces.

Antique glass should be washed by hand in lukewarm water using mild detergent and dried carefully with a lint-free cloth. Dishwashers and sudden temperature changes must be avoided to prevent thermal shock and chemical damage.
