Sterling Silver Cream Jug 1905 Birmingham John Barrett Antique Arts & Crafts

Description

A very decorative, usable and quite unique sterling silver Arts & Crafts Cream Jug that really does catch the eye. It has been superbly made and you can see the hammer marks from where it was raised.

It has contemporary engraved initials to the front, I believe they read DFN.

Fully hallmarked Sterling Silver, 1905 Birmingham.

Makers mark of John William Barrett & Sons.

It is in an excellent condition with no repairs or damage.

Some light surface wear that is noticeable on a close inspection.

The inside has been lightly gilded to protect the silver.

88 grams.

8.2cm height.

8.3cm including handle and spout.

6.2cm diameter at widest.

A superb piece of Edwardian arts and crafts silver that will look wonderful on the table and in use.
