The chest is equipped with its original wrought iron carry handles on both sides, alongside other original iron fittings throughout, reflecting its authentic craftsmanship. Raised on sturdy bracket feet, the chest has a well-preserved, rich patina across its oak wood. Notably, this chest is quite heavy, emphasizing its solid construction.

CONDITION REPORT:
In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches throughout the oak chest. There is some staining to the top (pictured) as well as some loss to the lining on the interior (pictured). Overall, the antique late 17th century oak chest remains structurally solid and sound.
