A good example of a large solid silver sugar bowl with gilded interior. It has two scrolling handles and a bulbous body standing on four ornate feet. It is stylish and good quality and weighs approximately 384g.
It is clearly hallmarked for London, 1844 and the maker John Tapley
It is in very good condition for its age. There are a few minor signs of age and use, a couple of light surface marks and a couple of small dinks but no major damages or anything detrimental and it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
