Rare 19th Century Engraved Barley Wine Glass Serving Bottle C1880

Technical Description
A 19th century clear glass serving bottle dating to c1880. Its has a period cork stopper with a metal loop. Slice cut neck leading onto the shoulder with large detailed sheafs of barley engraved to the body. Polished pontil to base.
Sheafs of barley on a serving bottle or decanter are rarely found and almost certainly signifies that the bottle was used for Barley Wine.
An exceptional example.

Condition
Excellent, age-related wear as shown. Clean and clear, no chips cracks or restoration. The cork stopper is intact and in very good condition.
