We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Baluster glasses feature heavy, highly sculpted stems characterised by nodes, knops, and collars, heavily influenced by contemporary silver architecture.

These vessels were typically crafted from heavy lead glass, introduced to England in the late 17th century, which provided greater clarity and weight.

Authentic pieces often exhibit pontil marks on the underside of the folded foot, minor surface wear from age, and characteristic inclusions or bubbles within the lead glass.

Such historic objects can be displayed within glass-fronted cabinets or styled thoughtfully on open shelving to introduce textural contrast and historical depth to a room.

Antique glass should be washed by hand in lukewarm water using mild detergent, avoiding harsh abrasives, thermal shock, and modern dishwashers.
