Opaque twist cordial glasses are historic drinking vessels produced during the Georgian era, characterised by intricate white or coloured enamel threads enclosed within the glass stem.

Antique glass should be hand washed gently in lukewarm water using mild detergent and stored away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations to prevent damage.

Such historic items are best displayed within a glass-fronted cabinet, on a dedicated shelf, or as a focal point in a traditional table setting to highlight their craftsmanship.

Authentic pieces typically exhibit pontil marks on the base, minor surface wear consistent with age, and specific characteristics of lead metal such as weight and ring when struck.

These pieces were crafted from lead glass using traditional glassblowing techniques, where enamel twists were manipulated within the stem before the final shaping of the bowl and foot.
