An 18th-century air twist wine glass is a type of drinking vessel produced during the Georgian era, characterised by elongated spiral air bubbles trapped within the stem.

These glasses were hand-blown using lead glass or flint glass, where air was introduced into the molten metal before being drawn and twisted to form the intricate stem patterns.

Authentic pieces typically exhibit pontil marks on the base, minor irregularities consistent with hand-blown manufacture, characteristic wear on the foot rim, and specific twist formations native to mid-18th-century glasshouses.

An antique wine glass can be displayed within a glass-fronted cabinet, on a bar cart, or as a focal point on a mantlepiece to add historic texture to a modern room.

Antique glass should always be washed by hand in lukewarm water using mild detergent, dried immediately with a soft lint-free cloth, and kept away from extreme temperature fluctuations.
