Beautiful Vintage Silver & Enamel Butterfly Brooch by Norwegian Silversmith Theodore Olsen

A delightful vintage silver gilt and enamel butterfly brooch made by Norwegian silversmith Theodore Olsen The detail on the brooch is superb. The wings are beautiful, guilloche enamelled in purple with a black enamel body, curved slightly so that they reflect the light and highlight the detail. The back of the brooch is marked 'Sterling 925 S' along with the mark for the well known designer Theodore Olsen and 'Norway'. There is a good fastening clasp at the back that works well.

 

A perfect gift, made by a collectable designer and in fabulous condition.
