Description

A rare combination Victorian silver and glass vinagrette/pill box scent/salts bottle. A quality item. The glass has been stained by what I suspect might have been smelling salts, personally I have never seen this much “frosting” from perfume. Bears the owners monogram to both sides and the top. Top opens with a push button and the seal bears the name P & F Schafer. The vinaigrette has the original sponge in and the lid is engraved with P & F Schafer 27 Piccadilly, registered 21st August 18?? can’t quite read the date. Marks for London 1878 Thomas Johnson I.
