Technical Description
 
A superb pair of 19th century ribbed amethyst glass serving bottles. They have tapering necks leading to cylindrical bodies with rib moulding throughout. Polished pontils. Made by Richardson and Sons in the mid 19th century.
 
We have included mother of pearl mounted corks, one in Brandy and one in Rum, but the serving bottles would have been used for almost any wine or spirit.

England, c1850. Period of Victoria.

Excellent, age-related wear as shown.
