Description

18th.c. Welsh oak tack cupboard from the Snowdonia region of North Wales c.1740. Two door cupboard top (internal depth 19?) fitted inside with rows of wooden hooks for hanging coats etc plus two later front to back hanging rails. Separate base with two large drawers in the base below two rows of fixed panels allowing extra hanging height inside the top. Ogee moulded cornice and ogee pointed arch top 'slap on' door panels, a distinctive North Wales feature. Oak panelled sides and back, oak drawer linings. Note the pegged construction. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied. Could be fitted with a side to side hanging rail or shelves if preferred.
